NFL Playoffs Tourney Groups
Our NFL Playoffs tourney is underway, and at present we have twenty-five participants, split up into five groups of five. Plus I have two more guys on a reserve list. We are running out of time, but if anyone else wants to play please speak up now so I can schedule the matches and we can get the draft finished before the first Wild-Card Weekend game on Saturday.
Here are the first five groups plus start of potential sixth group:

This tournament is non-elimination. If we stick with five groups, then the group winners, based on won-loss record with head-to-head as the first tie-breaker, point differential the second tie-breaer, will form a group to play each other next week. The second place finishers in each group will form a group to play each other next week. Thirds vs. thirds, fourths vs. fourths, and fifths vs. fifths.
We’ll do the same thing from Divisional Playoffs to the Conference Championships, and then Conference Championships to the Super Bowl. Once we’ve each played 16 Fantasy Throwdown games between now and the Super Bowl, we should have an excellent idea of who is the best of the bunch this time around.
I know MtgProHammer is itching for a spot in this thing, so please, let’s get Group F up and running (even though it would mess up my 1st vs. 1st, 2nd vs 2nd, etc. plan going forward. If we get six groups, or more, then I’ll adjust accordingly.

Update: We have a Group F. I recruited our reigning Fantasy Throwdown NFL Playoffs Tournament Champ, BuffaloMudwings. Two years ago we ran a playoff tourney with 16 teams on our original prototype website, and BuffaloMudwings won the whole thing.
Along with BuffaloMudwings we added wmagnum1, giving us four players for Group F, so I added myself to complete the group. I’ll still have to figure out how to organize the groups for the next round, but one idea is if anyone drops out of Groups A through E, then the Group F players will make up the spots.
