I could have put this in the Special Events topic but wanted it to stand out a bit more in the Lobby, so made it a separate post.
In terms of special events, we are going to have our U.S. Thanksgiving Turkey Day event like last year, and we'll definitely do a tournament for the NFL playoffs again, too.
Assuming we can squeeze this in around those things, who is up for an IDP tournament? Let me know who is interested by posting here and we'll start putting together plans for it.

Thanks guys. I'm going to work up a November newsletter to send out the mailing list, and we'll mention the tournament in that to generate interest. Thanksgiving is next week, so maybe we'll start the week after, run it Weeks 13 to 15 perhaps.

Jason, I already set up the matches for the 12-team "every man's" tourney, but I wouldn't mind setting up another 4-team group for 16 total. If I can get 3 more tonight or tomorrow morning then we'll fire it up.

Okay, just sent out emails for both tourneys, although we can still add one or two experts to take up spots in the experts tourney currently held by me and Matt. Steve Wyremski has already indicated he's going to register Wed morning for one of them.
I'll post the tourney details in the Site News tomorrow and officially announce the groups for each.
whats the rules? the first game I saw for the tourney shows 1 DEF? should it be 3 IDPs?
Yep, sorry. My bad. All should now be showing IDP lineups as they are clearly an IDP tournaments! Not trying to pull a fast one, just a slip up.
I just mentioned to TheFFGhost by email that if the Throwdown program wasn't so rigid I'd be tempted to ratchet up these matches to 5-6 D players per side instead of our standard 3. Maybe next year.
Mike, I don't know if you know what Full Impact IDP is or not but I think this might be a good way to introduce it to a larger audience. I will touch base other you via email about it. Also, Steve W. and Jeff can speak to the concept, and I think they will agree this might be a good format to get it added exposure.
Haven't heard the term before Steve, so yeah, I'd be interested in hearing about it.

Everyone in the Experts tourney, I made all of you friends with each other (who weren't already). Now you can see who is online using the chat bar at the bottom. You can more easily issue private challenges, and you can leave messages for people via the chat even if they are offline. They should get it next time they login. If you computer starts beeping at you, it could be someone is trying to chat in that browser tab you left open to the Throwdown site.
